So Real-Time Strategy games aren’t really the first genre that comes to mind when I think of games that I want to play. However, there was an RTS game that really caught my attention, and one of the tracks still randomly comes into my head at times.

The song that sticks in my head is Terran 1 from Starcraft.
My dad and sister are more into the RTS type games and I would delve in every once in a while because it was there. I also had a childhood friend who got me into it and we had fun despite me being terrible at the game. I would attempt the campaigns and I may have beaten it once. It was super calming though when I would play through the campaign and the song above would play.
It starts with that guitar motif and then gets into this epic orchestral song? This was one of the reasons I was glad the game CDs at the time were able to be played in CD players (you just had to skip track 1)
It might be a surprise to some of you that I’m into Starcraft a bit. I tried Warcraft 2 and 3 as well but it didn’t catch my attention as much as Starcraft did (although I HAVE been an orc and not a space marine/zerg/protoss).
I think this might have been one of the first songs I heard that I was like “this is a cool song”
